Sunday 20th April
While the kids were busy playing playstation - I headed downstairs and started to disassemble the Trampoline.... a pile of springs had torn off the matt and it was time to look at replacing it....
I didn't realise until I took the Spring padding off just how bad it was.... at one point there were about 15 springs missing in a row... which meant that one of the kids could have easily fallen through the hole and straight onto the ground....
After a while, Blake decided to come outside and help me.....
The metal had broken down so much in some points that the springs weren't going to be able to hold on any longer anyway.....
Rob then came out to lend a hand once I had everything pulled off - cause we needed to pull the frame to bits.... he ended up getting his angle grinder out and cutting it up - because it had rusted together at a lot of the joins.....
Blake got bored with helping, so he went and got his togs on and got into the spa....
After the trampoline was removed, we set to work pulling all of the weeds out and attempting to get the trampoline area cleared......
We still aren't sure if we're going to get another trampoline - or use that area for something else, so at this point, that part of the year is still empty......
All the bits ready to be taken to the tip.....
