Airlie Beach Trip

25-27 April

We headed up to Airlie Beach to help the Airlie Beach Trashbags with their bout.... Candy and I had been asked to MC the bout... and Rob was set to G33k it.....

Seemed like a great excuse to take the kids for a weekend away... the plan was that we'd just be at the bout for the Saturday afternoon - and the rest of the trip - we'd have to ourselves... to spend with the kids - explore - etc......

When we arrived, we took the kids to the pool... best way to get them worn out after their long trip....  we're so lucky that they travel so well.... but they always need a run-around once we arrive.....

Candy really knows how to pose for the camera!  That's not scary - AT ALL!

On Saturday - we headed to the pool again.... Rob was at the PCYC setting up...   I took the kids back for one last play before they were stuck in a 2x1 area for 7 odd hours....  (not exactly what we thought it would be... but they were brilliant)....

Blake wanted Mohawk Hair again - just like Candy.......

and a bit of a ducktail back.....

We nearly made it to the end of the three bouts.... but then the kids had just had enough - so we skipped out about 10mins before the end... and I found someone to cover my MC duties for the end of the bout....

A bit of relaxing with my kidlets.....

Sunday Morning - we went for another swim (well - they did... I stayed out.... I found it way too cold - but they're all crazy and thought it was warm enough!)

Rob and Jade playing Marco-Polo

Blake got cold and came to sit with me for warm snuggles....

After our swim, we finished packing and we started our journey home.....  We had planned to stay til the Monday - but Rob had to get back to Gladstone for work - so we had to go.... I'd already told the kids teachers that they wouldn't be at school on the Monday.... so we decided to play hookey....
