I'm really loving this age with Jade, she's learnt that it can be good if people are laughing at her... that she's being funny and that people aren't always picking on her when they do this :)

Bundy Park of Awesome!

Sunday 1st March

This park in Bundy has EVERYTHING.... unfortunately when we went there, it was so busy the kids only got to play on a few things... I think there were at least three parties going on as well as a pile of additional people...

We were in Bundy for the weekend visiting Gran and we'd left the hospital once the kids got itchy feet..... we went to this park for about 30mins - then we headed off to find lunch and headed to another park, also awesome... but we were busy eating lunch and playing - so there were no pics :)

This monorail is a lot harder than it looks...  so much pedalling to go forward very slowly.... and it's a decent sized loop.... so they only did one lap and then they were done!

New letters....... final bedroom touches... (for now)

Friday 27th February

So, I gave up on re-painting the kids old name-letters... and bought new ones... then went to get new paint.... Jade wanted pink - Blake wanted gold..... 

When I started on Jade's letters, the pink sunk straight into the wood and looked like a really deep red.... So, I had to paint them all white first - then paint the pink on....  when the pink dried, it flaked... at first I freaked and tried to fix up the D....  but then when I realised that all of the letters had done it - I let it go.... now I'm regretting fixing up the D.... 

Blake really wanted his paint to be cracked too - but I doubt I'd be able to duplicate that effect..... he's happy with gold.....

First Soccer Training of the year!

Thursday 26th February

Soccer is back....  and the kids were excited to head back to training...... 

And, as is now tradition..... Thursday night is Maccas night... so we decided to stop in instead of driving through on the way home.....  :)

Greg's new puppy!

Sunday 22nd February

Greg came over to show off his new little girl.... he and Annika now have two French Bulldogs - and their plan is to breed them... but for now... Jade's plan is to love her!

Cyclone Marcia....

Thursday 19th February

So, there's a cyclone coming....  the shops have sold out of Milk and Bread as everyone is panic buying.... (we always have long life milk in the cupboard and bread in the freezer... so I don't need to stress about this usually)...

The cats don't seem overly concerned....

 Friday 20th February

Can only just see the power station in this photo... that goes to show how heavy the rain was....

We again had water issues downstairs.... but nothing a vacuum every 30mins couldn't solve....

We also had to contact this side window as the water was blowing the glass around...  and we haven't had these windows replaced yet.... we're waiting on THAT stage of the renovations to get here so that we can.... I don't want to be replacing them a couple of times over....

This was the predicted path of the cyclone as it hit land....  Cat5 as it hit Yeppoon and it did a fair chunk of damage while it was there...  

It was predicted that the eye of the cyclone would pass over Gladstone initially at a Cat 4 that was then down graded to a 2.....  when it did pass - we were on the outskirts as it headed inland and only got a Cat2.. so, no biggie....

There were a couple of places around Gladstone that were without power... We took a generator up to Mt Larcom Cafe for our friends to use to keep their fridges/freezers running until they got power again.. and Drew came down to Mt Larcom to collect another of our generators - Rocky were without power for about two weeks... some places weren't effected so badly, I think Drew had power within 4 days or so....  but they copped it the worst....

Book Readers Unite!

Wednesday 18th February

This was too perfect an opportunity to miss.... Jade & Logan stuck in their books waiting for their siblings too arrive at the end of the school day.

Another tooth gone!

Tuesday 17th February

Another tooth is gone!  I'm getting to the point where I start to worry when Jade's saying a tooth is wobbly... surely she's gotta be running out of baby teeth... surely!  Or, maybe she's a shark?  With the amount of time this one spends under water, I wouldn't be surprised!

Quick trip to Bundy....

Sunday 15th February....

After we left the trial - we went home and the kids spent the afternoon in the spa.... we all relaxed and then the kids and I headed down to Bundy...  Jade had another appointment with her Paediatrician (the last one for a year!)

Monday 16th February

Dad brought out the TY80 parts that he's had painted up for Jade's TY....  it's looking SO GOOD!

These pics were taken as we were setting sections.... we also took Blake around with us to make sure that he was able to ride between sections with ease.....

While we were off setting sections... some of the other guys hung around to help with the footings for the shelter that is being put up.....

Frank - Section 2

Blake on his first ride through a "big" section.... Such concentration! :)

I think he fits into this trials world quite nicely :)

This section had me biting my lip a bit... up a fairly steep bank...

As it turned out, we only rode one lap.... I'd pulled a ligament in my elbow (that is still causing me some grief), Rob got a flat tyre... and Blake's bike went flat.....  wasn't a great start to the trials year for us, but.... that's ok :)
