Friday 1st June to Sunday 3rd June.....
Beserk, Candy, Snaps and I left Gladstone around 2pm on Friday to head to Mackay.... we figured that way we'd get to Mackay - have a bite to eat... have a bit of a skate (to check out the surface of the rink etc in prep for the bout on Saturday)...
We were just outside Mackay when we were held up with an accident on the road.... two 15yr old boys were on a trail bike and went under a ute... double fatality... so the road was closed.... luckily there were enough cars that knew how to get around it - so we followed them and finally got into Mackay around 8pm...
We checked into the hotel and met up with Shredda and headed out to dinner...
Being the party animals that we clearly all are - we were back in our rooms by 9:30.. asleep by 10pm.....
Saturday morning we woke up early.... well, we thought it was early... Beserk and I shared a room the first night... and she was up at 445am for a loo run... (I'm sure she'd love to know that I'm sharing that) - but I woke as she did that.... so we got up and started chatting...
Then, I got on facebook (cause, well, everyone is awake at 445am - yeah?) - - Well, Candy and Snaps were awake too (and they'd been up for nearly an hour at that point)....
Oh, and these are my Teddie tracky pants!!! CLASSY!

Snaps wouldn't dare join us in her PJ's....
(I think it was more because she didn't want to have to go outside smoking in her PJ's...)
We decided to get up and get showered and dressed..... so we headed out for Breakfast at 7am (oh yeah.... and that was with taking our time because nothing would be open before then...)
We headed for Coffee Club, actually - we drove around until we found food... at the time of looking we didn't care where we went....
After breakfast - and wasting a bit more time - it was nearly 8:30 - so we decided to go shopping.... (luckily coffee club was in the same building as all the shops.... so we wasted a couple of hours walking around and finding various things that were green and purple... and hair products and makeup - and nail polish - etc.. if it was green and purple (our team colours) it got our attention.....
The Advertising for the bout said that if you were going for Gladstone you should dress in Pink and Purple... (purple and green are our travel team colours - and pink and black are our league colours... but I guess Mackay was just making a guess.... or just trying to confuse anyone coming to the bout.....)
Anyway, we found this Telstra sign and figured that, in Mackay, even Telstra was going for Gladstone!! yay Telstra!!!
When we were in Cosmetics Plus - we found some A5 sized handouts about the bout - which we thought was pretty awesome - so we took it! helps if we know where the bout would be! :)
We found a store for Candy..... and even it supported the Hustlers - in Green and Purple!
In Smiggle we round erasers that supported the Hustlers too!
After shopping, we headed off to the skate centre (cause it was too late and we were too buggered to go on Friday night)... Ellie met us there and we skated for a few hours... it was awesome - and this is the rink that I used to play Roller Hockey on as a kid - and it hasn't changed.... Unfortunately, I'd clearly forgotten how to get inside the rink - cause we ended up going into the Bowling Alley first.... and then we found our way out the back - and THEN we saw the sign!
I think this sign was probably around in the early 90's too!

We're big party poopers... so after an hour or so - we left the after party and headed back to our hotel room... I think that Candy and Snaps may have had one or two drinks... Beserk and I only had soft drink.... and then we went back to the room for some biscuits and dip.... Oh yeah! we're classy!
Yup... one bout and my fishnets had holes everywhere.....
My nails in Green and Purple.... I did like this effect... but next time we need a clear top coat....
The following morning - we headed to Sizzlers for breakfast and then headed home....
All in all a brilliant weekend... complete with bruises and new Facebook friends....
