Saturday 14th June
After soccer we were heading back out to Turkey Beach to do more setting of the sections for the trials comp and more camping..... The kids games were nicely spaced... Jade at 8am and Blake at 10:40... so Rob took Jade to her game and while they were there, I got everything packed into the car, got all of our laundry sorted for the weekend and then went out to get Ice... that way - once Blake's game was over, we'd be right to head out.......
Blake loves the Ice Machine because it plays "Ice Ice Baby" while it's dispensing.....
Just before we were due to leave - the clouds opened up......
So much so that you couldn't see past the end of the street... couldn't see the power station.... or Mt Larcom....
This didn't deter the kids... they just grabbed their rain coats....
Once we got there, we set everything up... and the kids were so busy playing with their new tents and stretchers that they didn't ride at all.....
Mom got a fire going.....
The kids tents... these are "auto popup" tents.... and easier to pack away than what you'd think.....
Unfortunately, the stretchers that we'd been assurd would fit into the tents... didn't.... but, the kids just zipped them up to the stretcher... and they were set up under a 3x3 marquee... so they were kept dry....
They spent the evening playing on our bed in the trailer.....
Sitting in the rain playing with the fire....
Sunday 15th June
Once we were up - Blake got riding on his new Oset.... as much as he's still a bit too small for this bike, he still rides it so well.... amazing little guy
The battery died on the bike and he spent the rest of the day riding his 16" Oset.... but it doesn't seem to matter to him what he's riding....
He's very excited about his upcoming competition where he'll be competing against kids that aren't his sister!
Jade's going to help us to observe the trial as she's not wanting to compete in this trials competition.
