New Trampoline......

Wednesday 10th September

So, I cleared the area to put the new trampoline.... and I thought that would be the hardest part.......

Apparently Not... the hardest part was trying to work out how it went together with only 4 steps shown in the instructions....  and one of them was "make a circle with the top pieces" - and the diagram for how to do that, related to different pieces.... so.... it became a job of "lets guess and see what happens!"

Gradually we were getting things together.....

Holly and I had missed a pump class for this, but we figure that we got enough of a workout anyway!

Jade enjoyed "helping"

Once it got to putting the mat on - we figured we had it sorted.... we're very clever you know!

Jade supervised from underneath.....

She was happy to be our helper when it came to testing out the trampoline.....

We were very pleased with the job we'd done with putting these on.....  little did we know we'd missed a step... there were plastic protectors hidden in the one box - and the instructions for putting these on before putting the mat on - INSIDE the bag of protectors - that were hidden inside the Padding box.... (oh yeah, I don't see the logic either!)

Then to put it into place.... Rob was concerned that a 16ft trampoline wasn't going to fit where we'd had our old 15ft trampoline... but I knew better (I usually do!)

Holly decided to test it with Jade.....

Then it was time to attempt to put up the netting.... Oh, and we thought that we'd done all of the hard work... apparently we were wrong... AGAIN

It's complete!!!!!

It's an amazing size :)

The kids approve!

New Skates!

Tuesday 9th September

When I arrived at work today - my new skates had arrived!  I can now wear these when skating with the kids at Tannum :)

Out of the mouths of babes.....

Monday 8th September

On the way to swimming lessons today -
Blake: Ricky is nice... I'm going to marry her
Me: umm.... does she know this?
Blake: Nah - I'm going to surprise her!
I'd love to know what's going through their minds about what they're actually saying....

First time for everything!

Sunday 7th September

Usually my kids outgrow things before they wear them out....  but these have been around so long that they've finally been worn through (plus, Blake is set on full steam when it comes to the motorbikes).

After more than 7yrs, these gloves finally need to be retired....  (and yes, we're keeping these in the treasure box)... they were Jade's first gloves when she was 2.5 and got her 16" Oset... they still fit Blake, but this weekend Blake wore through the fingers...

So tiny....

KXXS - Kids Extra Extra Small

Father's Day weekend and first weekend at our new property (yet to be named)

Saturday 6th September

We went for our first weekend down to the property - Rob had already spent an entire day down at the property taking down beds and couches etc... we took down another trailer and vito load of gear down with us... and poor Rob spent most of the weekend doing electrical work to ensure that the "special" work of the previous owner could be removed before it caused a fire....

The view between the shed and the kitchen....

Inside the shed....

The kids corner!

Door to the kitchen from the shed door....

Camping area

Spare shed.... (this is where we put all of the chairs and tables when we pack up after the weekend)

With all of the equipment Rob had to buy for the shed - he snuck in a Quad Copter too.....)

A DT that had been given (??) to Dad that he's done up..... he wanted to give it a test run as he'd not previously taken it for a ride....

Uncle John was up visiting Mom and Dad for a couple of weeks - so he came camping too :)

We did Father's Day on the Saturday afternoon as the kids were wanting to give Dad their presents and we weren't sure if Frank and Lisa were definitely staying the night.....
(also - wanted to give Rob his present as Mom and Dad had forgotten to bring the legs to their BBQ - so we needed to use Rob's present.... and make him cook!)

The kids presenting Rob his present...

The Brush Turkey tried to get into the jelly beans....

Time to get the fire happening!

The whole five minutes that Rob played with his quad copter before it died....

BBQ time.....

The temporary shower room (well, shower in a bucket)

Jade and Blake decided to have themselves a dance competition....

Sunday 7th September

Sunday was the day for Lisa to learn to ride the DT175....

and practising the art of falling off.... nicely done!

Blake wore out the battery on the 16" Oset - so then he spent some time on the 20" - but it threw him off and spooked him a little.....

Jade happily rode her Gas Gas.....
(it'd been serviced - so it was running better... though, still a bit hard to start)

Blake helped Grandpa move the van....

We couldn't get the 348 started, so Blake offered to try kicking it over for us....

Down into the creek for a bit of a play... (I took the kids up the path on the 348 and they went straight down into the water to muck around)

Then it was time for a bit of meditation...

Blake thought it looked like fun...

Then Jade decided to try to get her legs all tangled up and join in....

I remember doing this as a kid :)

SUCCESS!

Frank came along to join in too :)

Sword fighting.... :)

We managed to get Blake on the PeeWee for a bit of a ride before we headed home... at least we managed to get him happy on the bike again :)

The weekend was a little "rushed" - we only spent just over 24hrs out there.... and Rob spent most of the weekend doing electrical work... but it was very relaxing... I can't wait to spend weekends down there when we can just sit around and not do lots of things... but, for now - this is more than happy enough! :)
