Blockspot Holiday 2015 - Day 8

Friday 3rd July

Up early.... fire going.... just a standard day :)

When not on the bikes, it's just easier to leave the boots on.... and boots aren't allowed on the bed.... so this is how they were playing their DS's......

There weren't a lot of photos on this day... we were all too busy riding.....  the four of us went and found new tracks and did a little exploring.....

Thursday 2nd July

Another fun day.... just us.... and bikes.. and board games.... (perfect holiday really - though, visitors were awesome highlights too :) )

This is how our day began.... PJ's around the fire!!!

Then it was time to get geared up and get back on the bikes!

Then it was time to stop for a game of Rummy.....

Oooooh - so excited about picking this up... it's gonna be a good game!

Not sure the kids liked being beaten....

Oh, and there was really chicken for dinner!!!

What is it with kids??  they loose a few teeth... and they lose the ability to smile nicely!

This was our first day at attempting to go over logs.... so we started with a nice easy introduction :)

Wednesday 1st July

Happy New Financial year.... not that I was really caring about this while on holidays.....  up bright and early for breakfast pancakes......

We got supplies.... as over the weekend we'd used up the two tiny little pouches of antiseptic cream that were in the first aid kit....

Blockspot Holiday 2015 - Day 5

Tuesday 30th June

After we had breakfast we headed in to Bundaberg to spend the day with Mom, Dad and Gran.....  Also, to pick up Blake's new bike... (his 16" was getting too small... though.. the 20" is a little big... he still loves it!)

(we ended up turning the handlebars around so that they were a little closer to him...

Blockspot Holiday 2015 - Day 4

Monday 29th June

Drew, Rob and I spent a good part of the morning clearing around the back of the bank so that the kids could ride up and around there for something different....

of course, the kids were up and off on their bikes as soon as they were allowed to be.....

The pile of branches is growing....
(we then spent the rest of the week gradually burning through these bushes so that we didn't have them piling up in the bush to have to be removed later if we wanted to clear a bit more)

I really should have taken a before shot so that we could show how bushy it was up there.... The problem with a lot of the bush up there is that it's spikey....

Bank Cleared for riding

Blake really loved riding his bikes over the bank....

It looks to be time to start playing with fire again..... Blake's got his fire stick ready!

I don't always roll a joint... but when I do... it's my ankle!

(yup - true story!  I even got a bruised knee out of the deal)


After Drew headed home to get back to work for the week, it was time to pull out the board games... we were on our own and it was time to beat the kids at Rummy... well, this game it was only beating Rob and Jade because Blake and I paired up....

oh yeah!  We're winners!!!!!

Then apparently it was time to ride the bikes again.....  this time I was riding around with the kids... I was on the DT175 and I was following them around....

Then it was time to get out the fire sticks again

Dinner time...

Well, that's one way to control the fluff!
