When Rob's away, Jade seems to make a real effort to try to help out (not bad for a 3yr old)... but she does... it's not always helpful, but I'm definitely not going to discourage it - because in a couple of years I'll be wanting her help.... so, we've got rules about what she can and can't do and how far she has to stay away from things - etc....
Tonight she decided to help cook the bacon/tomato/onion mix to go in the macaroni cheese... she'd already helped with putting the food (after I'd cut it up) into the frying pan - but then she wanted to help cook... (she'd helped the other day cook her scrambled eggs - but I didn't get photos)...
She's really good about keeping her hands away - and only stirring slowly so that nothing spilled (or more importantly burnt her)
After the dinner was in the oven and busily cooking, Jade announced that it was time for Blake to have a bath (this was because she wanted to delay her bath) - so she helped me get him ready for a bath - and then had to wash his hair... (that's her job you know! *apparently*)
Note: Blake doesn't seem to mind whether he puts his left or right hand in his mouth - as long as there are at least two fingers in there - he's all good.... I don't think he's going to be a thumb sucker... I think he's going to be a finger sucker like his Grandpa :)
Sometimes he manages to not have any fingers in his mouth.... but that's rare at the moment!
