Saturday 8th January..
Saturday morning, Alana and I packed the kids into the cars and headed to Tannum Sands...
We finally (after a year of owning them) took Jade & Blake's boogie boards out of the wrapping... well Jade's boogie board and Blake's paddling board (I guess - it's the smaller version).... Alana's kids all had their boogie boards too...
I got Jade using hers correctly and she loved catching the wave back in.... the one time when I was taking Ava out to let her have a go, Jade decided to do it herself and ended up being dumped by a wave and getting sand all through her hair... she also lost her hat... that was apparently the most devastating thing she'd experienced that day.... it fell off and we watched it get swept out to sea.... but about 10mins later - it came back... so she was happy again.....
It was safer just playing in the sand apparently.....

Blake decided that playing up the hill was even safer than down on the sand where the other kids were playing....

Time to bury the kids!
Gotta make sure those poppers don't get sandy....
Ava managed to keep drinking, Jade was just looking for the first sucker to take her popper so that she didn't have to keep holding it.....

and JayBee wanted no part of this burying thing....
And Jade wanted to be buried again..... poor Alana!
