Strider Bike

Blake is all about bikes, his entire life revolves around them, if he's not riding his trike - he's in Dad's shed playing with the motorbikes or looking through bike magazines with GG.... his entire focus is bikes....

When we head to Mom and Dad's place - I say "where are we?" and he says "Bup-pah..... Bikes!" (Bup-pah is his word for Grandpa... which is "similar" to Jade's "Pumpah" - so maybe his will evolve over time or he may stick with it.... either way - Dad loves it! - - - oh and Dad and Frank are his favourite people in the whole wide world... unfortunately for Dad, Frank does kinda take the stage when he arrives)

Anyway, he's always wanting to get around on one bike or another, and Dad had said for ages that we should get Blake a Strider Bike.... but, we had to find one that was small enough for Blake... a 12" BMX is too big for him - he can't touch the ground when the seat is in the lowest position - so we were a bit nervous about just buying a 12" Strider on the net and having it arrive too big for him....

I got online - did a bit of searching around and found these Strider Running Bikes... they're designed so that once your child can walk (confidently) - they can control one of these bikes... so, Blake could have spent the last 10 months on one (theoretically)....

The bikes arrived on Tuesday (27th July), while the kids were at school (oh, I do say "bikes" because we got one for Jade too.... in hope that she'd get interested in Blake's one and want one herself... but she has NO interest in it.... even with the extended seat pole the bike appears that it's just too small for her - even though they say that they can ride them when they're 5 (which she still has a couple of months to even get to))....

Dad put Blake's one together and had it ready for when we were all heading around that afternoon after work... (Dinner at Mom and Dad's for Rob's birthday... 4 days late - but that couldn't be helped with him being in Sydney over the weekend - then the Brisbane Endodontist trip)....
