Sunday - 15th August
Probably easier to explain this with a bit of background.... I went to school with Megan and Ben... Ben married Luci who was a year below us (they've been together since high school and have 3 kids.....) Megan is engaged to Colin (they live in Rocky).... Megan has two girls (previous marriage) and Colin got a job in Gladstone and needed somewhere to stay - so he's staying in our guest room until Megan moves to Gladstone with the girls (or Colin gets a job back in Rocky)
Megan has been trying to organise for a couple of months to get down to Gladstone one weekend for a BBQ so that we can all catch up.... so this was finally the weekend for it - and perfect weather too!

Blake loved the play area here.... and especially the slingshot slide... this slide drops at a fairly mean angle... but he loved it and didn't seem to come a cropper on it....

We had a great lunch... great catch up... and then it was time to get the kids home so that Blake could have a big afternoon sleep.... and trying to keep him awake in the car on the way home was definitely a challenge.... he was dozing when we got home and I managed to get a bottle into him before getting him to bed for his afternoon sleep... :)
