New Washing Line.... and Letter Box...

We're into the next phase of our renovations....  to put the shed where we want it - we need to get rid of the current washing line...  and we've got this unused space behind the house...

First to trim all of the plants growing from next door....

we're also in desperate need of a new letter box.... this one is slightly drunk....

ok, completely drunk...

Jade was confused as to why the letter box is now on the trailer...

Jade was on babysitting duties....  "he's a baby.... I'm sitting.... babysitting!!!"

Baby!

Dad and I dug the holes for the poles....  Dad was more exhausted from working the jackhammer than I was from digging all of the dirt and rocks out of the holes....  and it definitely wasn't due to age or fitness... I guess the jackhammer is just hard work....  and boy I'm glad that I don't have nice nails - else I wouldn't have any now.....

Dad then went to start on breaking up the old septic tank...  that job took longer than any of the other work... and we thought it was going to be reasonably easy... again... we figured wrong!

Two poles cemented...  the middle wasn't put in crooked - it was just sitting in the hole!

Frank digging the hole for the new post box pole....

Jade helping Uncle Frank dig.... she was digging to China apparently....

In goes the last pole....

This is the current state of the septic tank...  now we're ready to get the land levelled and get this hole filled.....

Renovations aren't happening as quickly as we'd like them to - but we'll get there eventually.... we have no intention of selling this place and moving into another house - because there aren't many 5 bedroom houses with a large office out there that would suit us as well as this one does....

Greg loves having his own area downstairs so that he can sit and play the 360 without bothering anyone....
