This week I've tried to get things in order, trying to get Blake home before he wants a sleep so that he doesn't just powernap in the car on the way to Jade's daycare and back.... So I've been taking Jade in earlier than we had been for the last 6 months or so... and it seems to work well for both kids... Jade's been happy to run off and play with her friends - and Blake's happy to sleep once we get home.... (or to Mom's place....)
Anyway, so while he was sleeping this afternoon I decided it was time to start clearing away various clutter... firstly the stuff that seems to have piled up behind my desk - but in the way from our room into Blake's room (our house has a door between our room and the nursery - which is very handy).... but Jade goes and plays with toys and leaves them in various places (she has no toys in her room else she'd never sleep) - so her toys are in the lounge or in the Nursery...
Anyway, after clearing that mess I decided to pull out a box of stuff that I'd cleared up when we had friends stay in August last year ... most of the stuff seems to have been junk - so it just got chucked - but.... in the bottom of the box we found a beanie we'd bought when Jade was just a few months old - because we were going camping....
Jade saw it when she got home from school "this is my beanie for when I go to the snow!!" - - - - it does still fit her - so we'll pack it for when we head to Phillip Island for Superbikes in February - but we'll also take her Dora beanie that we bought last year for Brooweena... that way she has a choice... the dora one covers her ears and ties under her chin - and this one doesn't.....
