Jade seems to have given up the whole "feral" act... (so we definitely think it was just that she'd gotten sick of being sick with the cold.. .and now she's back to the delightful child we though we'd lost....) - she was perfect all day.... and at the end of the day - she helped Ken give out the medals to all the place getters....
At the last trials comp, Ken (pictured below) had his butt handed to him by Dad.... so he decided he needed to go back to basics and learn to ride again.... so he came complete with his fluro orange jacket and L Plates.... he also had streamers attached to his handlebars which apparently were to cause wind resistance and slow him down in the sections.... (and for those who aren't aware -- Cedric = my dad -- he had to give Ken some pointers before they started riding for the day....)

Jade got given a medal herself - for helping out Ken with the prizegiving... (it was a leftover trophy that Jade was actually quite disappointed that she hadn't given out - and she wasn't willing to retire as medal hander-out-erer until all of the medals had been given out)
