Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to the two most important Father's in our lives.....

It was all set to be a perfect Father's day, Rob had arranged to go out on the trials bikes with Dad, Frank and Mac...

We got up early and headed to Mom and Dad's place loaded up with bacon and eggs and ready to cook Dad a nice breakfast...

Rob got the BBQ fired up and started cooking when he got a phone call...  from not 1 - but 2 clients.... (so I guess that makes it "Rob started getting phone calls.....")  Two of his sites were down... one up in Cloncurry and one down in Warwick...    I'm not sure what happened to the Cloncurry site - but, Rob pretty much sat down - scoffed his breakfast and then headed off to Warwick (he's about 50km away at the moment... or he'll be there by the time people read this).

Jade and I hung around Mom and Dad's place...

Jade playing with the pool water....

Jade sitting calmly while Mom did her hair...
(apparently I was not the hairdresser of choice today... hence Jade has pigtails instead of her usual hairdo...  maybe that's what she was after! eheh)

After we got Jade's hair done we headed off to the park... it's been a few weeks since we've made it to the park - so Jade was all excited and made herself a couple of new friends... (We're sure that the one girl Jade was chasing around was simply because the girl had a cupcake with green icing that she was interested in!)

Jade loves the Rock Climbing wall.. it's "reasonably" steep - but she no longer wants/needs help... so we leave her to do it herself....

The Slides are always the favourite option...

Mom and Jade...

Jade hanging on once she's climbed to the top of the front of the ship....

and this is what she climbed....

Once we got home from the park, Dad and Frank had returned from their ride - so Dad got Jade to get her runners on so that she could take her bicycle for a ride...  She hasn't been on her bike for a couple of weeks - again - she seemed to lose interest...  So, we went backwards a little in the learning to ride with no training wheels...

This is the "stick" I was talking about in a previous post - it is there so that Dad can help keep Jade upright - as well as helping her to get up her confidence....  So you can see in that photo the theory behind the stick... Dad is actually not holding the stick at that point - his hand is just really near it (you can see the top of the stick is right by his pinky)... (but you can also see from the angle of the bicycle that it wasn't going to last too long!)

I managed to get a pic of Jade riding where it's clear that Dad isn't holding the bike...  she still doesn't have enough balance/confidence to ride the bike uphill or even on a flat at a slow speed... but she's not yet 3 - so I'm still not complaining.......
