We decided to have a simple BBQ for Blake's birthday... so we had people come around (instead of sticking to the usual "invade mom and dad's place!).....
Mom had Ed & Jen over and Jen's mother - so they came over too.... (Dad's known Ed and Jen for longer than he's known Mom....)
Meg & Greg came over....
Blake happily played with his new toys.... (looks like he's going to have the Thomas addiction)....
Jade happily showed Melissa all of Blake's new toys.....
Uncle Frank is always good for making Blake giggle...
Xander was happy for the evening with the iPhone....

Blake thought that Jen was the funniest person alive.. he just kept giggling everytime he'd look at her... and most of the time she really wasn't doing anything....
We decided that because Jade's first cake was an icecream one - we'd do the same for Blake
(plus it meant I wasn't up the night before putting a cake together - although - I had planned on making Jaime a cake - but we'll blame Rob for deciding that sleep was more important than grocery shopping at 7pm....)

After cake it was bath time.....
Damian and Jaime had headed off to pick up Terene and Aston at the airport and Xander informed me that his pyjamas were on the freezer and he'd come over for a "bath-over" - so he happily got in the bath (not that there's ever been a challenge getting Xander into the bath)
One tired little birthday boy!
(the kids didn't get to sleep til just before 9pm.... was a very long day!)
