This weekend we headed off to Brisbane for my youngest cousin's wedding.. (he's 23 now though)... Anyway, we headed to Toowoomba on Saturday... we booked into a hotel just down the road from Aunty Eileen's place and stayed there for the two nights of the weekend... (Yay long weekends!!)
As soon as we'd unloaded our stuff at the hotel room we headed around to Aunty Eileen & Uncle Gerry's house for dinner...
Grant & Christy were there... (Grant is the oldest of the van Heerden Grandkids - and Christy is his wife) - Christy said she had to get her fill of Blake and Jade before the wedding else she wasn't going to get a turn - and Grant was flying out to Adelaide in the morning at 5am - so he was going to miss the wedding....

Uncle Andy & Aunty Pam checked into the hotel we stayed at at the same time we did - we pulled in together.... they came for the night because they were taking Gran in the morning to see Kim's baby Lucas (he's nearly 4 months)

We had a great evening, catching up on things... Jade found a collection of DVD's and Videos (yes, the old tape videos!!) - so she then started going through them... she watched Beauty & the Beast on Saturday night.... it was sad that I knew all the songs... but from the stage musical - not the cartoon - although I may have to add it to our collection....
After all of that we took the kids back to the hotel knowing that it was going to be a huge day on Sunday - so we wanted them to both have a good sleep....
Unfortunately, Jade's love of the DS has been put on the back burner... and now she lives with my iPod Touch.... it's got games - movies - cartoons on it - lots to keep her entertained and she knows how to navigate everything... luckily we took the headphones with us - so she didn't keep anyone else up... she ended up falling asleep about 9pm (which I guess wasn't too bad as we didn't get back to the hotel until about 8pm)....
