Trials....

We had a trials comp today - my first time back on my 315 since the Christmas Breakup Comp in November....

So a little out of form... I still managed to ride "ok"...

But the Thomas comp was on... after the first lap - Rob was beating me by 1 point... and as I was riding back to the car to get a drink I noticed my bike was making a funny noise...

Not being mechanically minded what-so-ever... I just told Rob about it - and he turned up my idle so that the bike would hopefully stop stalling....

Unfortunately this theory didn't hold...

I had managed to get my lead back on Rob by Section 4... I was back in the lead by 2 points.... So I ride off the dropoff... and as I'm riding down into the creek - the bike dies... and unfortunately I'm unable to balance the bike and kick it over.... which means an automatic 5 point penalty....

It just went down from there.... in my next lap - the bike stalled twice... once in Section 4 and once in section 6....

a 15 point penalty means it's virtually impossible for me to stay ahead of Rob... so Ifigure.. what the hell... I'm going to keep the revs up as much as possible while enterting the sections that caught me.... so I just enter these creeks at a reasonable pace and just tried to hold onto the bike without putting my feet down to get out of each section....

By the end of the day... I had dropped 23 points.... Rob dropped 19... and some new guy (well someone who's started since November last year dropped 16.... but third place is still better than a kick up the bum.....

Earlier in the Day....

On our drive up to Rockhampton, we'd given Jade scrambled eggs for breakfast, she lost her entire breakfast... so we had to stop on the side of the road for 30mins and clean out the car - and clean her up....

Luckily she's not a sick kind of child - so she got a bit upset with being sick.... ate a breadroll and was quite happy to keep watching Dora....

We dropped Jade with my cousin, so that she could bath her - as we only had half an hour before the comp began... so Jaime bathed her and put her into some of Xander's clothing.... luckily she looks like enough of a girl now that it doens't matter if she wears boy clothes....

Jaime's quite handy when it comes to Jade.... :) she took her home when it got close to 1pm -so that Jade could have a sleep at her place and we picked her up on our way home... :)

Better get back to socialising with Rob and his Mom....

oh yeah - she arrived last night.....
