Sunday 4th October
For Jade's 10th Birthday (the one where they're allowed to have a big party and invite a bunch of school friends) we settled on Laser Tag... (again, as when she was 5, she's got as many male friends as female friends... so - a "girly" party wasn't going to work - and she didn't mind).
So, we organised the party at Cedar Galleries...

As you will see in the pics, Blake has a green Pokemon cap and Jade has a pink one... the kids had to wear a cap to hold the head gear that would be used in the game, so we got each kid a cap.... 10 pink 10 green.... a couple of girls ended up with green hats - but that worked - because their younger sisters (the younger sisters are Jade's age) got pink hats.... and "Pokemon" because that was the theme for her party....

The lady running the laser tag was very impressed with the hats and it made it easy to split the kids into teams.... though, that did mean that it was mostly boys-vs-girls... but they were all happy with that too....

(The place where this is all done is well set up with numerous buildings and the kids are allowed to go inside and under any building and shoot through windows etc.... whatever they want, they just aren't allowed to climb onto the buildings and it's all very well supervised)

And the best part was that I didn't have to organise any of it - it was all part of the package we got.... which was cheaper than trying to buy a pile of food that they probably wouldn't have eaten...

And then it was all over! We packed everything away - picked up all of the rubbish and plates etc that the kids had left laying around... the owner was very shocked but impressed with us at that point... I'm guessing most people don't really bother....
