Tuesday 29th January.....
So, Jade is supposed to be back at school... and we're still stuck down in Noosa.....
We had considered going and staying with friends in Brisbane - but then there was talk about Brisbane flooding too.... (which they kinda did too - but not nearly as bad as they did in 2011) Kris and Kristel headed to Brisbane to stay with Kristel's aunt until the roads cleared up enough for them to get home.... (it wasn't cheap being stuck in the resort unfortunately....)
At this point - we had confirmation that our house was flooded.... only about 2" throughout the bottom half of the house and we managed to get Frank to head there and clear out as much as he could as well as unplugging certain computers and making sure that nothing electronic etc was floor level..... but that was about all he could do.....
The kids still thought it was fantastic being so close to the pool, but the novelty was even wearing off for them....
For fun (and because Rob was getting fluffy) - we bought a set of clippers and attacked both Rob and Blake.... (well, Blake was attacked cause he had nits (yet again) and wouldn't let us comb his hair like Jade endures.....) - - - so, lets face it... the REASON for the clippers was bugs.... and the bonus was that Rob was no longer fluffy!! :)

So we'd gone from just throwing the kids to actually flipping them... which took Blake a little to get used to - cause he kept dropping his noodle... which was a bit of a rude shock for him.. but it's amazing how much his swimming picked up while we had nothing to do but swim....
Jade was working on perfecting her dive..... this kid definitely takes after her father in the pool!
