Friday 26th October.....
We headed off as soon as the kids got out of school... Rob picked Blake up, then Jade - then came to work to get me.... then we were off......
Rob had been asked to go and G33K the Mackay bout (ie. provide sound for the MC - music and a digital scoreboard) - so he was very excited to be helping out the derby community.... and the kids are always up for a road trip... so off we went.....

We got to Camilla Roadhouse and met up with the Moseling's on their way up for the weekend.....

Saturday 27th October....
We got up early and headed to Maccas for Breakfast... (well, we'd already eaten - but we went to be social and the kids had a juice and a hashbrown...)
After Maccas we headed to the rink to find out what could be set up and where Rob had to put all of his gear.... we got upstairs and there was junk from one end of the area to the other - so we moved everything around and cleared off a space and then Rob got to work with the vacuum cleaner to finalise preparations for his area.....
Then it was time to have a skate.... so we got the kids sorted with skates and got going......

We left Rob at the rink with the setting up duties and took the kids back to the Motel to have a swim....
After we'd played in the pool for a bit, we went back to the room and had a bit of a rest before getting ready to head to the bout..... when Kristel and I had been shopping during the day we found some monster high hair pieces... so we got Lily and Jade watching pieces....
And off to the rink to get ready for the bout....

Awake with a few minutes to go.... not happy and wanting to go home....
Full time, got a pic of the score board - and then it was time to get the kids back to the Motel....
Sunday 28th October....
Driving home - I discovered a new fun thing to do while Rob has the car on cruise control..... if you press the button on the electric brakes (which aren't connected to anything if you don't have the caravan attached) - it cuts out the cruise control... and then Rob has to re-set it.....
Oh, it made for REAL fun times!
