New Backpack.....

Thursday 8th July....

When picking Jade up from daycare - she'd always said that she couldn't pack her stuff back into her bag because it was too small.... her old bag was a "Fairies" one that she'd got when she was 2.5yrs old and it wasn't overly large - I'd just never put her lunchbox in it and it was fine... but she said that if she had a bigger backpack that she'd pack it when it was time to go home....

I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt (and also the Fairies bag was looking very tattered over the last two years....) - so we went shopping for a backpack.... Jade chose her new bag.... and it was literally a "Backpack" - I guess after going to the Dora show the week before she'd decided that Backpack was the way to go!

So, we got it... she was very excited - it's definitely big enough - but it's also big enough for when we go away for her to pack her clothes into..... it's a backpack - but it's also got wheels and a handle to use as a trolley bag... so it's versatile!

She hasn't failed to pack her bag at school yet as I threatened the loss of the new bag if she didn't pack it.... yay for threats! :)

And yes, she is in her pyjamas.... they had a pyjama day at daycare that day... and it was too cool to send her in her flannies.... (and yes, they are clean.... I didn't send her in the pyjamas that she'd slept in!)
