This week... in.... "The Thomas World"

This weekend was again spent with Jaime, Damian and Xander.... well yesterday anyway... But it's all good.... so much easier now that we don't have the over an hour drive to go visit them now... Although, that may mean that we don't end up going to the Rock Pool Water park as often as we did last year.... but there's enough water around gladstone... plus I'm sure we can all go up there for trips......

Anyway, yesterday morning we headed to Marcus' 3rd birthday party (one of the kids in Jade's swimming class) - we left there just after midday to head home and have a sleep.... little did we know that John was going to start working on replacing the back stairs and landing... because Jade hadn't been asleep an hour (let along her usual min. 2.5hrs) before the banging started.... Not that we mind - because we're getting new stairs!

So Jade, Rob and I headed over to Mom's place for a swim and Jaime, Damian, Xander and Evan (Damian's Dad) - headed over there to meet us so that we could do the xmas present thing with the kids...

Xander & Jade (wearing some of their Christmas presents - note: Jaime is trying really hard to make Jade a girly girl.... but when we got jade into the dress she straight away said "and now my pants????" bwahahaha!!! We ended up having to put a little pair of shorts on her to get her to keep the dress on!)

Today I headed out shopping while Rob stayed home with the sleeping Jade (he'd just got back from installing a new server at a clients place and was only too happy to sit upstairs and play on the computer and wait for any kind of baby noise....)

While I was out shopping - I found a pool - similar to the one that Jade had been playing in at Marcus' birthday yesterday... it's great - it's got a blow up slide that slides into the bigger section... there's an archway elephant over the slide... you can plug the hose into the palm tree and it'll splurt out water....

We found it hard trying to get Jade OUT of the pool this evening, but the mozzies and sandflies were attacking... (not sure why they're bad at our place - usually they're not an issue... but you get that)... (You'll see in the pics that the stair stringers are in the yard - as well as other rubbish all around the place... eventually our place wont appear like a scrap yard!)

And last but not least... renovation update..... NO STAIRS!!! We told our neighbour if he wanted to visit - he had to climb the ladder.... he did say that he was tempted......
