Saturday 15th December......
So, the GRD Xmas party this year was stepped up another notch from the last two years.... this year it was organised by CeeBee..... an Op Shop theme party (so you have to buy your clothes for the party from an op shop) and it was at his house in the back yard.... complete with two paddling pools and a slip'n'slide.... (again)
So, Saturday morning.... I met up with Kris and Kristel and we headed to the Op Shops to see what we could find......
As most people know - I'm the least girly girl out there.... I hate pink - I avoid at all costs to wear it... so Kristel couldn't resist the Hot Pink Polo shirt when she found it.... so, then we had to find things to go with it....
A nice pair of QAL green pants that I cut off at the knees and some knee high Purple "Cougars" socks.... it wasn't til I got to the party that I realised I was wearing all GRD colours... Purple and Green for the Hustlers and Pink is the league colour.... (well, pink and black...)
We found Rob a "Queensland Academy of Sport" polo - and then built his outfit around that (pics will explain better) including the shoes!
We found Blake some dodgy footy shorts and a Ninja Turtles vest - and a 70's style Pooh Bear Cap...
Jade's costume was a pink hat, denim overalls and a red singlet... though, she didn't really look like she was wearing dodgy op shop clothes... except for the Hat..... the rest looked great and she's worn them since....

When we went to put Kris's derby name on his shirt - we realised his shirt had too much plastic to risk putting it up the top... so we put it down the bottom... which then gave him a "Butt Krakka" which was the highlight of his costume ;)
