Friday 18th April
It was time again to endure the Harbour Festival.... the kids love it - and there's a pile of things to do... but it's never a cheap outing... (though - it's nothing in comparison to Easter Shows like Sydney has - so at least we're not completely broke at the end of it).
Blake was very excited and spent the morning telling us how we were going to the "Harbour Vegetable"... it took a bit to convince him how to pronounce it correctly.....
Blake wanted a Mohawk - but as you can probably imagine - it didn't survive long once he had to put his hat on.... :)
We did the slightly more "grown up" rides this year.... with a junior roller coaster... and no tea cup rides.....
Kids waiting in line to do the bubble ride..... where they put you INSIDE a giant ball and you play around on the water....
The kids were completely saturated with sweat by the time they finished - so we got slushies and lunch after that to cool down.....
they each downed a bottle of water in less than a minute.... they were definitely feeling it....
Then it was time for the dodgems....
Holly went with Blake so that I could take photos....
Blake wanted to go on the Ferris wheel... so I did that with him and Holly took Jade for another go on the dodgems.....
They were only just getting into the cars when we'd finished on the ferris wheel..... (yup.... ferris wheel doesn't have a waiting line!)

I managed to survive another year.... but I was definitely not sad when it was time to head home......
