Steph & Marius' Wedding

Saturday 4th February

We travelled down to Brissy on Friday afternoon for Steph's wedding....  arriving at 11pm was not the most pleasant way to do it... but the kids went straight to sleep and woke up in really good moods the following morning.... 

They spent the morning in the pool at the caravan park and then we got dressed up and headed off to find where this wedding would be.... that was FUN!!!  (have I mentioned that I'm not a huge fan of Brissy???  well??  I'M NOT!)

Anyway, we found it... at a Scouts Hall... I shouldn't have been overly surprised by that - given that Steph and her parents have ALWAYS been into Scouts since way before we met... (and I met Steph in July 1990....)

Steph's wedding was "casual" it was great... there was a coffee van there making whatever you wanted..  so that was VERY handy....   It was an afternoon Wedding followed by an afternoon tea type reception... then there was a follow-on dinner at Steph's parent's house....  which was lovely (except for the mozzies.... bloody mozzies were shocking... and we only discovered that there was aeroguard after an hour!)  We had a great night and left around 8pm to get the kids back to the cabin and to bed....

We left at 7:30 or so to head into the city and pick Holly up (who had travelled down with us because she also had a wedding in Brissy on the same weekend) - and we got back to Gladstone at 2:30pm - in time for Holly and I to get to Derby training! :)  (Rob also came to derby training - so that he and Holly could check out the venue and work out what needed to be done and set up for the bout we have coming up on 17th March...)
