Blake's first "learn to skate"

Tuesday 31st January

(yup a bit behind in my blogging again....)

Rob was actually (*gasp*) available so we decided to take both kids to Learn to Skate (because Blake keeps asking if he can come to "Roller Derby" with me...)

I'm not a huge fan of the time of it - because it's from 6pm til 7:30pm... (and given my kids are in bed and asleep by 6:30pm - it makes for an extremely late night for them, especially on a "school" night...)

Blake did really well at skating - and really got the idea of skating with his toes pointed outwards etc... so I was most impressed..    Jade took off and was skating very well on her skates too.. (helps for her to have real skates... so much more comfy for her than the rental skates)

he actually managed to keep his balance and not fall... so he was doing really well :)

By the end of the night - both kids were worn out and had their feral turned on.... complete with Jade having a melt down because it was time to go home and she wanted to watch me do my derby training.....  so it wasn't a pleasant end to the evening - and got me a bit worked up....  but, you get this type of stuff... everyone was saying that their kids were feral after the first week of school.....  Not in a hurry to do another learn to skate for a while....
