Tuesday - 28th January.....
So, not only is Blake a huge Mickey Mouse fan... he's also all about Buzz Lightyear....
On Monday while he slept, Jade and I went shopping to get Blake his own bedsheets, we do have a set for him in the cupboard, but we wanted something exciting and shiny to put on his bed in hope that he'd transition to the big bed without too much drama....
but I did expect a bit of drama......
Tuesday morning - 7am.... we were already going stir crazy in our lovely wet weather.... so - I pulled all of the toys off the bed that has been in Blake's room since he was born.... and made his bed up with the new sheets and doona - etc.....
This is the "please lie down so that I can get a picture of you on your new bed" pose.... he looks like someone stole his neck....
and again with the smiling....
Blake and Jade spent all morning playing on his bed.... so he was very excited when it came to sleep time...
He very excitedly told Rob that he had a "big boy buzz bed!!!!" - - - so he's definitely happy with the choice of doona set!
the best I can do to get a pic of the doona... the bedrail makes it hard to make the bed up properly as you can't drape the doona over the side....
When it came to sleep time.... I was worried that we were going to have a drama.....
I shouldn't have worried....
Sound asleep - complete with two Mickey Mouse toys....
And he's still sleeping well, I was a bit concerned that big bed would mean shorter sleeps as he'd wake up and work out he could get out and play... but he's still sleeping between 3.5 and 4hrs in the afternoon..... huzzah!!!
