Saturday 16th March
So Rob headed down to Lismore to help officiate a Roller Derby bout as he was asked along by the Toowoomba City Rollers for their bout against Northern Rivers Roller Derby. Always up for a road trip, he agreed and off he went with another couple of our local derby members...
That left me home alone with the kidlets - and really looking forward to a weekend at home, it was just what we were after.....
The morning started with an interesting choice of toys grouped together to play "House"... Blake brought in some of his weird creature figurines (I have no idea who the lizard guy is.. but Blake likes him)
and of course you can never have a game of house without some wildlife....
they play so nicely together... makes life easier.. (at times)
Then it was time to make gingerbread men... (we're not often home on a weekend with nothing planned - so it's nice to get back to spending a day baking with the kids)
some get a little messier than others....
I'm sure that more smarties went into Blake's mouth than onto the gingerbread men, luckily we had spares....
and we're done... time to cook them...
After Holly takes out some frustration on an unsuspecting Puggle...
And they're cooked....
Dinner was hotdogs and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.... perfect end to our perfect day :)
