Monday 21st February
As soon as the kids were up and dressed, Amber was at our door step looking to play.....
Busy helping Jade get her boots on so that she could go outside.....
Blake was excited about a new playmate....
Straight into the toys.....
I was doing Jade's hair - and Amber wanted hers done too.....
"Twins" apparently.....
"Nope, still don't see it......"
Jade & Amber are both October babies, just a year apart.....
Blake looking like super cuteness, but I am wondering if we really should be getting him to a hairdresser... but it's not in his eyes... and everyone apparently loves the curls...
We headed to Wonthaggi for the morning.... wasted time walking around a BigW in renovation mode.... and the best thing about Victoria is that they have pretty much all of their swimming stock - I guess it's too cold to swim down here... so I managed to finally get Blake a pair of swimming shorts like Jade wears..... and for only $5 - so I was happy about that!
We then headed back to the cabin to get Blake down for his afternoon sleep and even hoped that we'd have some quiet so that we could nap too.... As soon as we got back to the cabin, Amber was over again - so Jade and Amber were off exploring the caravan park, picking flowers, playing at the playground and running up and down the verandah to colour in as well as just attempting to make as much noise as possible... (or at least, that's my view on it cause i had to keep getting up to tell them to quietly play as I was trying to convince Blake to sleep)
So tired.... still takes a bit of convincing that it's time to go to sleep......
Colouring in while having poppers and bananas....
This is becoming a common theme while trying to take photos.... must be an age thing!
After Blake's sleep - we took the kids to the park... and met up with Narelle, Shaf and the boys there for dinner.... Narelle and I went and made chicken/mayo rolls for dinner and took them back to the park....
apparently even this wasn't high enough!
Pick the gymnast....
Grumpy face....... (I'm sure it's cause he realised he was wearing his ugly safety glasses instead of switching to his nice pair before we left!)
This is apparently a smile and a Cheese face.....
Blake decided that he was going to master the art of the fireman's pole..... I assisted him for a couple of goes down the pole, then asked Rob to just stand guard so that I could get photos..... Rob didn't actually touch him at all for the entire way down... and he does use his hands and feet to stop himself sliding down....
he even stopped on the way down for a decent length pause so that everyone could take a pic.....
He was so proud of himself.....
(plus, everyone was clapping.... he works well for an audience...)
Jade just grabs on and slides down.....
Narelle decided to test out the kids equipment..... she was having way too much fun!
Another late night for the kids, I think it was 9pm or so before we had the cabin free to get the kids to sleep.... at this stage, it looks like Thursday night may be our only early night..... here's hoping that doesn't come back to bite us on the bums!
