Wednesday 26th January
For the third year in a row - we have done Australia day with the Kidd's as well as other family members.... and for the second year in a row, Rob's been away because of work.....
This year, I bought the kids "Australia Day" T-shirts.... (and we bought Jade's "BEST FRIEND EVAH" a t-shirt the same as Jade.... it was very cute because when we picked Johnica up they spent the morning going on about how they were twins.....)

Jade had a great day playing with Johnica, it's not often she gets to play with girls outside of school... she's surrounded by heaps of boys! :)
Talon had a bit of a dummy spit because he didn't get the ball..
It lasted a little while, but it was 100% cute to watch... we were all giggling from the patio....

After lunch, the 5 bigger kids went to watch Toy Story 3 in the lounge....
Blake & Talon did start by watching Bob the Builder in hope that they'd want to go to sleep, but it wasn't long before they were both outside looking for something to do....
Oh, and Blake & Jade both had Australia Day Swim shirts too!
Think Blake may have been getting just a little tired????
Trying to sleep under the trampoline is never going to be a good idea......

Not really a toddler anymore....
When Declan got out of the pool, he was so cold that he was literally shaking - but he wasn't going to say no to an ice cream....

This was the hit for the day with the bigger kids... they had a ball.....

Meanwhile.....
Now the the bigger kids were out of the house and otherwise occupied, it was the perfect time to try to get Blake down for a sleep.... I put him down on Jaime's bed, but a little paranoid about how he was going to sleep there with no bedrail, I went in about 10mins after putting him down to make sure he wasn't up and destroying her room... I couldn't see him.... from the bedroom door all you could see was an empty bed, and no kid running around the room... that was a bit scary...
I then walked around the bed and found the little legs sticking out from under the doona....
Back at the Slip-n-Slide
The kids decided to start doing a 4 person run and slide....
This was bound to end in tears!
Back to the Backyard Cricket....
Blake had a great sleep, he did eventually get himself out from under the doona and into a more comfortable looking position....
As usual, a fantastic day at the Kidd's.....
(Rob was off at LCA 2011 - which for him was just as exciting.... hundreds of geeks to play with.... yes, he's a bit strange!)
