Blake's Batman Room

Monday 12th August

It was time to start fixing Blake's room to cover that lovely hole in the wall...  Drew had suggested making Corflute Buildings to stick on the wall that way there wouldn't be an issue with the hole still being there... (the reason for not just re-doing the walls is that we're still in the process of working out how the renovations to the house are going to happen - so this is the easier fix for this time.. rather than spending money and ripping it all out in a little while...

The picture in my head of these buildings was definitely not what Drew ended up creating....  I'm surprised he doesn't do this kind of thing for a living... (oh, wait... he kinda does!)

Drew spray painting the bottom part of the wall to lift the height of the buildings....

Then it was time to paint the room....
(and yes, I realise it's a small roller - but Drew had assumed we were just painting one wall - and I had it in my head that we'd paint the entire room - and I'm glad we did... I love his room so much!)

Finally, a use for the Vinyl cutter that wasn't for Roller Derby!
The very important Bat Signal...
(Rob designed this and I had the fun of trying to put it together and then trying to stick it to the wall... it's actually quite large)

The finished Product!

And with the Bedroom put back together!

Blake loves his room!

(Unfortunately this then sparked the questions from Jade about what we were going to do to her room! - and I didn't want to suggest that we didn't need to do her room because there was no hole in the wall - cause she may have just gone and made one! eheh)
