MartyH up to visit.......

Wednesday 16th May

Marty came up to visit us for a week, arriving the day before, we decided to go on a bike ride out to Tannum Sands to have dinner...  Marty rode Rob's Trumpy (and took Holly with him)  - - Rob took the kids in the sidecar - and I took the Firestorm.....

It was a bit of a cool night, but the ride was very pleasant.....

Jade's hair was EVERYWHERE when we got to Tannum - it was hooked up around her visor, it was wrapped around her neck... it took a bit of effort to get her helmet off... she couldn't see a thing - I have no idea how she enjoyed the ride... but apparently she did...

When we ordered dinner, the lady asked us what name it was under...  so I said "Thomas" and Holly said "Awesome" - so we agreed that the order should be placed for "awesome" - assuming that the girl behind the counter wouldn't take us seriously - we waited outside....

When they called us for our order they called out "Order for Awesome!" - that was the highlight of the evening!

After dinner the kids went to play in the park....

On our way home, the kids fell asleep in the sidecar.... about 5mins into the ride... I was riding behind them and saw Jade's head start to tilt to the side... (which is kinda funny to watch - cause all you're looking at is two bobbing helmets) - but Jade's head was going tilt tilt tilt - drop.... and she was out.... then I saw Blake look over at her.... obviously confused as to why her helmet was leaning against the edge of the side car... and about 2mins later - Blake's helmet started doign the tilt tilt tilt drop... and he was out too.....

We got home and had to dislodge two sleeping children from the sidecar and get them inside - into PJ's .... getting them to sleep wasn't exactly a challenge though.... :)
