We bought the spa earlier in the year and had to wait until we could get it built in - so it sat in the yard - collected a bit of dirt and waited.....
Michael offered to come up and build it in over Christmas... when Drew found out that it was being done - he offered to come down and help too... so with three men busy building this - it was going to be a breeze.... or so I thought....
I helped on the first day with helping Michael with the frame - and helping with a bit of digging etc.... but for the rest of the project I was busy with Christmas Visitors (being Rob's sister, Bethia, and the boys - and Ingrid - and our kids)
The spa, waiting to be put into place....
Rob was very excited to have to get himself an excavator..... (oh yeah, you can imagine - I cringed at this thought - but you can't stop Rob playing with toys.... even when you can see what it's going to do to your yard!)
Rob started digging.... and boy... the ground was so much harder than we thought it was... so it was lucky that he did get the machine... there's no way we could have done it by hand....
Michael getting busy.... :)
Michael started building the frame... I have never seen someone just put stuff together like he does... whack whack whack and it was done...
Steps for the spa...
and the front panel is complete...
Now to try to work out how to move the spa into the hole...
Blake helping to dig the hole....
We needed some sand to even out where the spa would sit... Blake was a little shocked....
Levelling the sand....
Rob in charge of an excavator.... broken aircon.... need I say more? :)
