Monday 28th February
We hopped our first flight in Melbourne at 9:05am... the kids were brilliant... there was a little bit of cranky when it was time to turn off the DVD player, but mostly they were great.... by this time, they were both extremely overtired having not really had much sleep for the entire holiday - they could have been a lot worse!
When we got to Brissy we went and grabbed some lunch, neither child actually wanted to eat much, so we headed to the gate... when walking down there, Jade had noticed that the little bar downstairs had fruit salad - and asked for that... (unfortunately most of it was cantaloupe and honey dew - so she didn't eat that - but picked through to get the watermelon, grapes, strawberries and pineapple....)
We had 1.5hrs to kill in Brissy... but luckily they were happy to just sit on the floor and watch a DVD while we waited for the plane....
Oh, and Blake discovered that I still had some mini-packs of smarties in my bag.... so he was happy
We landed in Gladstone at 1pm.... (5hrs later.... yay time differences!) We headed to Mom and Dad's place to catch up.... and it was a stinking hot day.... so straight into the pool....
The holiday was great, but was definitely glad to be home again! :)
