Junior Derby

Friday 31st July

So, with me going back to derby, once the kids asked to do Junior Derby I couldn't really say no.... so... here we are! :) We also picked Lily up and brought her with us.....

The kids had a ball :)

The Meteors Hoodies finally arrived.... these had been ordered at the start of the year with the rest of the gear and there'd been a real hassle trying to get them... unfortunately, when ordering - I'd ordered kids sizing - believing this to be the right way to order them... but from what I can work out, these have to be womens sizes.... Jade's got a 14 and Blake's got a 10 - and they both are swimming in them.... Not sure they'll ever grow into them..... Blake's hoodie wouldn't even fit Jade now....

Bye Bye Dinosaur Train....

Monday 27th July

Dinosaur train is kinda "old news" these days... and although parents still love it for their kids, you can no longer get the toys... luckily we haven't really disposed of a lot of the kids toys as they've grown up - so we still had these... Blake hasn't played with them in years....

A friend of mine was due to have a baby on Wednesday and was trying to find some Dinosaur Train toys for her toddler as a "present" for when she came home from hospital with his new little brother....

Blake agreed that he would give these toys away....

The big dinosaurs all interact with each other... they're very cute.... but, Blake's definitely outgrown them :)

Jade's room's being rearranged AGAIN!

Monday 27th July

So, this was my Monday.... while the kids were at school, I had to work out how to rearrange Jade's room to fit everything in and make it liveable until we've finished doing renovations.....

Jade was happy with her layout when she got home from school :)

Birthday weekend at the property.....

Saturday 25th July

Rob and Jade had headed to the property on the Friday night... Jade was a bit out of sorts, so we figured we wouldn't push the soccer the following day, so she was given the option to go down early with Rob and she jumped at it...... which left Blake and I home alone on the Friday night.... a nice movie night for us....

Saturday morning, we headed to Soccer first thing ..... Blake was happily showing off his new club polo.....

Then it was time to head to the property....

The following morning I headed home early in the morning so that I could be home in time for derby training... and Rob stayed at the Blockspot with the kids and rode until they could ride no more... well, they rode until Rob decided they had to head home.....

Thursday 23rd July

After getting home from training and photo day at soccer it was time to "wrap" Rob's birthday present and get it ready for him... (it was too big to actually wrap - so Jade used her blanket)

After dinner and after everyone had showered and got into their PJ's - it was present time....

Oh the shock and surprise... it was just what he wanted!!!

(he knew he was getting it - as much as it was my idea - I left him to order it so that he got the actual one he wanted.... I know nothing about Telescopes)

The kids then took off with the box... and wrapped ANOTHER present for Rob....

Surprise!

Cake that night was an apple crumble pie... (Jade's choice.... she's not a cake kid and Rob was getting a real cake on the weekend at the property)

Mmmm Apple Pie & Custard....

(Blake didn't eat his - so Jade has his too.... little piggy poo had half the apple pie! (admittedly - it wasn't very big.... it looked more impressive in the box and tin! She also didn't have custard, really not a sweet tooth kid!)
