Superbikes 2012 - Day 3 - Park and Beach.....

Friday 24th February

Jade spent most of the day asking if it was afternoon yet and was Molly here yet.....    she up and disappeared as soon as she saw Geoff ride past.....   Phil and Amy arrived soon after and got busy setting up their tent.....  then it was time to play.....

After dinner, it was time to hit the beach... (or ocean as Kieran was calling it)

We managed to get the kids to bed at a reasonable time (well by 8pm.... so 7pm our time -not bad for holiday mode.....)  and then spent the evening catching up.... (the boys were all hanging out at Geoff and Jodie's cabin and the girls were down at our cabin.....  a great night all round!)

Superbikes 2012 - Day 3 - Wildlife Park

Friday 24th February

This place was such a hit last year, I think it will become a yearly thing......  and with Blake being a little older this year, we knew that we'd be able to spend more time there without worrying about him needing to have a sleep...

The Wallabies come straight out as you exit the entrance....

Blake wasn't too sure about the idea of feeding them...

Jade was straight into it.... she remembered that it didn't hurt last year and she'd been hanging out to go there again....

This was a very active Koala....  eating the entire time we were there and kept climbing the branch.... was so cute....

When I saw this Koala I realised how similar they are to Wombats... and when we got to the Wombat enclosure - it noted that they are the closest relative to the Koala..... but I've never noticed it before now....

We had a great morning at the Wildlife Park - even though we were only there 1.5hrs..... the kids loved it....

Superbikes 2012 - Day 3 - Power Wing, Skating, Scooter & Side Car

Friday 24th February

When I first woke on this day - it was a great morning - all clear and fairly warm... and within about 10minutes - fog had hit and it was fairly chilly.....   but still nice and dry - so we had breakfast and then I got my inline speed skates on and the kids got on their scooters (well Jade's power wing)....  the speed skates meant that I wasn't doing a lot of work except on the upward hill... because they just roll so easily... so I spent most of my time trying to slow down so that I wouldn't end up losing it around a corner etc... as they don't turn as easily as standard inlines or my quads.....

The kids then decided that the sidecar is a much better way to get around the caravan park....  so Rob took them for a spin...

Rob then took Mom and Jade for a spin...

Mom decided she was  very comfortable in the sidecar and started looking forward to her trip home.....

The kids geared up and got ready to head to the wildlife park and sat on the couch playing Pocket God until we were ready to go.....
