Saturday 14th February

These pics were taken as we were setting sections.... we also took Blake around with us to make sure that he was able to ride between sections with ease.....

While we were off setting sections... some of the other guys hung around to help with the footings for the shelter that is being put up.....

Pre-Trial warm ups!

Frank - Section 2

Blake on his first ride through a "big" section.... Such concentration! :)

I think he fits into this trials world quite nicely :)

This section had me biting my lip a bit... up a fairly steep bank...

As it turned out, we only rode one lap.... I'd pulled a ligament in my elbow (that is still causing me some grief), Rob got a flat tyre... and Blake's bike went flat.....  wasn't a great start to the trials year for us, but.... that's ok :)

Dinner on a stick and movie night!

Saturday 14th February

Drew was over for the night - so we made Kebabs for dinner.....  nice and easy and full of vegies... :)

As Mom and Dad had stayed over the night before and Drew had come down from Rocky so that he was there early in the morning to help with section setting... we'd put a mattress in the lounge for him to sleep on the first night (the disadvantages to only having one guest room now! and for some reason, Mom and Dad didn't want to share the bed with him!)

Anyway, the kids loved the idea of it - because they could lay down and watch movies that night instead of sitting on the couches like the rest of us suckers! ;)

Attack of the Killer Wasp!

Saturday 14th February

We headed out to the local trials grounds to set sections for our February trial... and while we were there... we got attacked by wasps.... Mom copped the worst of it....   I got attacked going to rescue Blake who was being attacked and didn't know what to do... never great to hear a child screaming in terror.....  but he was ok soon after....

Mom decided this was a suitable explanation for the swelling....

"Her lip piercing got infected!"

Luckily Eric was there - so he went and sprayed magic wasp killing stuff and there was no live wasp nest the next morning when we headed there for the competition....

Valentines Day 2015

Friday 13th February

Valentines day came a day early this year.....  when I got home from the school run with the kids, Rob took them into our room and got htem to help him blow up a pile of balloons as a Valentines Day surprise :)  

It was adorable... (and nearly three months later - the last two balloons are finally down)

Then of course it was time to play with Helium and making silly childish noises! :)
