Saturday 29th September

Heading to Tropicarnage on the Saturday morning, we discovered a store.....    I claimed it as my own......

I was a but too busy going around at the venue saying hi to everyone in derbyland - I didn't get a lot of pics....

We had a brilliant first day of bouts..... we watched Tweed and Townsville in their bouts and then hung out with them all for the evening....  The derby community is awesome :)

Tropicarnage Cup - 2012 - Day 1

Friday 28th September.....

Tropicarnage Cup is the QLD State Titles of Roller Derby....   Leagues around the state can enter and then they bout until they decide who the best team in the state is.....   we entered as the bottom league (as every other league had previously competed - aside from Tweed Valley Rollers... it was their first time too) - we figured we were definitely the bottom team.....

So, we're on our way.... down to Tropicarnage....

After a stop at Torbanlea - KK discovered the cup holders in the back... (she's always been in the front of the Prado for road trips... but Rob and I had the fronts seats... so she was stuck in the back)

Michael got there.... and KK was pulling cranky faces with him.....

Sarah & Graeme had arrived at Caboolture way ahead of the Townsville Roller Derby team... and they couldn't check into their hotel room until the rest of the team got there... so after dinner, they headed back to our room and hung out until they were able to check in.....    

So, there was a complete night of derby chat until they left about 11pm....    but that was ok, no rush to get up in the morning, we didn't have our bout until 3pm against CARD (Coastal Assassins Roller Derby  - from the Sunshine Coast)

The Crazy Joker

Monday 24th September

Pupil Free day at school - and Ingrid was flying into Rockhampton in the early afternoon... so I took the kids up to The Crazy Joker in Rocky to play for the morning before we had to head to the airport.....   We had a good few hours - and the kids were completely worn out by the time we packed up and headed to get Ingrid.....

Wednesday 29th September......

Our light uniform finally turned up.... OMG it's shiny.....   not really a major fan... but what can you do!?!?

Pirate Day at Daycare.....

Wednesday 19th September.....

Pirate day at daycare - and of course - I'd forgotten til the morning of.....   luckily I'm willing to destroy childrens clothing ;)  

Cut up a pair of black shorts....  draw a skull on a t-shirt....  let Blake borrow my Hustlers bandana .... purple and green hustlers socks.... and Voilà! Costume!  and Blake's gone to daycare in complete Hustlers colours.... so he was very happy :)

Soccer Breakup 2012

Sunday 16th September.....

We had Jade's soccer break-up... every year the Meteor's Soccer Club have a breakup BBQ and Games day (ie. inflatable jumping castles etc)   The kids were very excited about going...  Jade gets her year end Team Photo and Trophy etc...
