Easter 2012

Sunday 8th April

I'd been up during the night with Jade and her fever.... so - being awake at 2:30am - I stayed up to do a run through the garden on Bunny Duties.....

I went back to bed exhausted and was woken at 6:30am by two very excited kids......

On walking back up the stairs, one of Blake's eggs fell out of his bucket and smashed on the ground.... we thought that we'd have upset issues to deal with - but Blake saw it as someone saving him the hassle of breaking his egg up....

Then it was time to test out the new sandpit toys...

At the end of the day we decided to play family rummy..... I teamed up with Blake and Rob teamed up with Jade......

We've been looking for Jade's Christmas stocking for a couple of years...... we found it!!!

Blake decided that he had better things to do than play Rummy.... so Buzz came along to help..... :)

Not fun being sick......

4th to 7th April.......

What a way to spend your school holidays.... Jade had a week of major temperatures.... only controlled by Panadol and Nurofen... so, basically I was getting a 3-4hr gap during the night before Jade would wake up crying because she was needing another dose.....

4th April - Blake understood that Jade was sick - and we tried to keep him away from having as much contact with her as possible to avoid him getting whatever she had, but there's just no stopping him...... I went in to find Blake in Jade's room demanding that she read him a story.... (he picked up one of her Dr Seuss books)

5th April - Jade's temp got back to normal, but I couldn't convince her to eat.....

then she went for a snooze on my bed....

7th April - Jade still wasn't interested in eating... she still had pretty horrid temps.... up at 40 pretty much all the time, so it was time to head off to the doctors..... The Dr said it was just a really bad virus and we just had to wait it out and try to get at least some fluids into her.....
